Company heads to RE+ with UL 2703 certification across its product line
Parasol Structures has installed a record number of commercial solar carports this year, with 23 projects in 2026 so far. In addition, a total of 35 MWp of projects are currently in design, ranging from ground-mount to rooftop and garage-top solar carports for customers across a wide range of industries, including retail, education and government.
In November, the team will bring its full slate of UL 2703-certified carport products to RE+ in Las Vegas. UL 2703-certified carports from Parasol streamline installation, simplify electrical inspections, and reduce labor time because they have fewer components to install and arrive at the job site with fully integrated bonding and pre-verified electrical interactions.
“We’re excited to deliver on the market momentum for commercial solar with the fastest, simplest and most elegant carport product line in the industry today,” says Francois Attal, Chief Commercial Officer of Parasol Structures. “Our customers appreciate the streamlined installation and the aesthetic appeal of our products. Electrical contractors in particular value the fact that they don’t have to spend excessively for long and unsightly copper grounding wires that can become eyesores on other canopy designs.”
Demand is accelerating as developers and businesses seek to capture commercial solar incentives before the Section 48E investment tax credit deadlines. New projects must be placed in service by December 31, 2027 to qualify, but projects that have been safe-harbored as of July 4th, 2026 have until December 31, 2030 to be completed.
Parasol has placed several projects in service this year in Massachusetts, where the SMART 3.0 program pays an additional per-kWh incentive for canopies. Parasol has installed solar carport projects across 24 states for corporate campuses, schools, healthcare facilities, government entities, retailers, multifamily real estate and other types of facilities. Carports present safe and reliable alternatives to roof installations for which fire safety has been called into question after multiple fires over large and high value warehouses across the country.

Parasol excels at supporting midsize to large projects that require highly efficient execution and planning to disrupt as minimally as possible the daily operations occurring at a host site. The Parasol team is ready and equipped to help plan the procurement of these projects for those who have not yet selected a solar canopy partner, especially at a time of complex and challenging steel supply.
